In life there are two different kinds of walks;

The first is when you walk out the door and know you're coming back. The second is when you walk out the door and know you're never coming back.

The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving. It saves on introductions and goodbyes. The ride does not require explanation - just occupance. That's where you guys come in. It's like you come onto this planet with a crayon box. Now you may get the 8 pack, you may get the 16 pack but it's all in what you do with the crayons - the colors - that you're given. Don't worry about coloring within the lines or coloring outside the lines - I say color outside the lines, you know what I mean? Color all over the page; don't box me in! We're in motion to the ocean. We are not land locked, I'll tell you that. 

The worst mistake that you can make is to think you're alive when really you're asleep in life's waiting room.

You know that feeling when it's Sunday and you're so stoked to have a day all to yourself. You can do whatever you like at any given time until night rolls around and you realize you have school bright and early the next day? I have that feeling constantly in the pit of my stomach lately. It's weird to describe but that's the best way I can sum it up. 

All I know is within the next month, the wrap up of the year.. EVERYTHING is going to change. Drastically. I have one month left of freedom. Then my 3rd and last year of school.. Funny how far away this year seemed the first time I was flipping through my school's course calendar debating what to study. Life doesn't really wait for anyone to catch up, or catch their breathe. I'm ready for drastic changes. I'm ready to have everything familiar to me be stripped away and I'm ready to be on my own. 

Truth be told, I need this.

Lately;

Being the genius that I am, I forgot my password to here. After a week of attempting to remember my password I gave up and reset it (obviously the FIRST step I should have taken..). My random ramblings probably were not missed

 but fear not I am back !

Well it's almost August and every day has been gray skies and rain storms (or so it seems). Please can summer come, I miss the beach. I should most likely just go back to Florida. The sun shine state should be my permanent place of residence. 

Finally I picked up my polaroid film yesterday ! 20 shots I'm eager to get taking... I'll lug around my out dated beast of a camera to the Zoo, Nature Hikes, Ice cream outings, On my balcony, Summer festivals and everywhere else I wind up at. But since I only have 20 shots I'm going to plan them out very carefully (I'm far too poor to dish out anymore money on film *boo hoo*)! If YOU have any IDEAS of the perfect picture I could take please share it with me ! I'll scan all of the polaroids for everyone to see when I'm all done :)

I found this online and I must say.... I MUST own it. I have a tendency to collect really odd things. A french fry phone? Perfect for me. I hate fast food but I approve of it being made into cute home decor. 

Lastly, I have just rediscovered how amazing Kat Dennings is. I think she's just too cute and quirky. Now I'm going to go watch Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist again.... XOXO

Round Deux

Because once a year just isn't enough !

Just announced Nylon Magazine will be hosting another concert this time it happens in the lovely month of November (which also happens to be someone's birthday month). The cross-country party will hit up more cities, more venues, and more adventures, and star a brand-new headliner: The Friendly Fires. With only one band being announced that's playing it makes me anxious to find out the others that will appear. But for now knowing the headliner is pretty fantastic in itself, they really are quite a marvalous band. Check them out at the first ever Nylon Winter tour!

Bulls Eye

Anna Sui’s Gossip Girl-inspired collection for Target won’t launch until September, but it is already generating lots of buzz. In case you’re out of the loop, Anna Sui announced a few weeks ago that she will be doing a capsule line for Target, following in the footsteps of Alexander McQueen, and the line will be inspired by the four main female characters from Gossip Girl. The line will be available in Target stores and online September 13th through October 17th.

Introducing..

Lola is a rich floral fragrance, featuring notes of ruby red grapefruit, fuchsia peony, and vanilla. While Daisy was the fresh and flirty, Lola is downright sexy—even its bottle is a bit wild, with a Technicolor bouquet serving as the cap to the bottle.

The fragrance doesn’t officially hit stores until August, oh cruelty !
